General

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your device. It lets you connect to a mobile network without needing a physical SIM card. Simply scan a QR code to activate it.

Most recent smartphones support eSIM: iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20+, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and many other devices. Check your settings to see if the "Add eSIM plan" option is available.

Yes. The Simio eSIM provides data only. Your physical SIM card remains active for your regular calls and texts. Your phone will use both simultaneously.

Purchase & Payment

We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. All payments are secured via Stripe.

Yes. After purchase, you receive a QR code that you can share with anyone. They just need to scan it from their eSIM-compatible device.

Yes, all prices displayed on Simio include all taxes. No additional fees will be added at checkout.

Activation & Usage

After your purchase, go to "My eSIMs". You'll find a QR code to scan from your phone settings (Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM Plan). Activation takes less than a minute.

You can install the eSIM at any time, but the validity period starts from the first network connection in the destination country. We recommend installing the eSIM before your departure.

Log in to your Simio account and go to "My eSIMs". You'll see real-time usage, remaining data, and expiration date for each eSIM.

Your internet connection will stop. You can then purchase a top-up plan directly from your eSIM detail page, without needing to install a new one.

Refunds & Support

Yes, if your eSIM has not been activated (no data used), you can request a full refund from the eSIM detail page. Once activated, refunds are no longer possible.

Check that data roaming is enabled in your settings, that the Simio eSIM is set as your primary data line, and restart your phone. If the issue persists, contact our support.
